How We Began
The idea for Atelier Wealth began while Aaron and Bernadette were sitting on crates in Hanoi, Vietnam sipping on a couple of cold beers on their honeymoon. They were both working in corporate roles; Bernadette was in Human Resources at Cricket NSW and Aaron was a Marketing Manager at Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
The pair had dreams of moving to New York for a while to work and study. But as they discussed their ambitions for their careers and starting a family planning, it became clear that New York wasn’t the goal.
When Bernadette suggested one day that Aaron become a mortgage broker, this set the wheels in motion for him to resign and start his plan to move from marketing to mortgage broking.
The pair had dreams of moving to New York for a while to work and study. But as they discussed their ambitions for their careers and starting a family planning, it became clear that New York wasn’t the goal.
When Bernadette suggested one day that Aaron become a mortgage broker, this set the wheels in motion for him to resign and start his plan to move from marketing to mortgage broking.
A Thriving Family Business
After 6 months of toiling away and the business now starting to get traction, Bernadette joined Atelier Wealth. Bernadette’s brother, Damien Walker also joined the team not long after.
This formula of mixing family and business was a resounding success. Aaron and Bernadette complement each other's skill sets and strengths.
Since Atelier Wealth’s inception, the business has evolved, grown and blossomed. ‘

The Art Of Customisation
The name “Atelier” comes from the French word atelier, which means “workshop”; a place where a group of artists or designers work together. It's a fancy word, but we’re not fancy. What resonated with us was that this level of customisation and collaboration speaks directly to our approach.
